Overview

Verify is the core product offerering from Grid

This API is used facilitates the verification of an individual or business across a custom set of external products configured as part of a Workflow. In order to under to understand the platform, it is helpful to have an understanding of the terminology that is used throughout.

Definitions

Applicant

The individual applying for a financial product on behalf of herself or her business

Case

A structured record that involves a specific instance of an application for a financial product. A case includes relevant information, actions, decisions, and interactions related to a specific applicant. Note however, that it is possible for there to be multiple cases for a single applicant if an existing case was moved into a closed status

Customer

The business that is a customer of Grid (you!)

Decision

The outcome of a Verification that determines whether an Applicant is Verified, Not Verified, or requires a Manual Review. A decision can also be Pending if the workflow is in progress but not yet completed.

Insight

A data point or signal that is received from a vendor product and passed through a rule that is defined by the Customer. An insight consists of a unique code, description, message, and decision

Orchestrator

Refers to the overall UI of the Grid platform but specifically speaks to the Workflow orchestration component of the User Experience (UX)

PII

Personally Identifiable Information. This includes but is not limited to first name, last name, dob, ssn, address, phone number, email address, etc

Verification

A single execution of a workflow. 1:1 relationship between Customer and Verification. 1:1 relationship between Applicant and Verification

Workflow

A Workflow is predefined set of products and rules to be executed in a given order for a single Verification. A 1 to Many relationship exists between a Workflow and Verification
