Motor Carrier Verification

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) SAFER (Safety and Fitness Electronic Records) product provides comprehensive data on commercial motor carriers' safety performance. It integrates safety ratings, inspection reports, and crash data from multiple sources. Key technical features include real-time data updates, detailed safety profiles, and search capabilities through an intuitive interface. SAFER supports regulatory compliance and safety assessments by offering a centralized repository of carrier safety information.

GRID-FMCSA-SAFETY-RATING

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issues safety ratings to motor carriers, not drivers, based on the adequacy of their safety management controls. The ratings are publicly available and reflect the date of an investigation. Safety ratings are as follows:

Satisfactory - The best possible outcome, indicating that the motor carrier has adequate safety management controls to meet the safety fitness standard

Conditional - The motor carrier does not have adequate safety management controls in place

Unsatisfactory - The worst rating, which can completely stop a company's operations

Unrated - No rating has been issued
